In light of recent tragedies, it’s critical for schools to have reliable communications and security systems. Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc. is proud to assist in updating the intercom system at West Lafayette Cumberland Elementary to keep them well-informed and safe.
Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc. is replacing their outdated system, providing a complete fiber optic and copper network upgrade and installing sound systems, wireless access infrastructure and other security solutions. The new Bogen Intercom System will have a user-friendly web interface that will allow staff members to easily make changes to the bell schedule and quickly send out pre-recorded messages for emergency lock downs and weather alerts.
With 34 classrooms designed for 800 students, these updates will help the administration and staff at Cumberland Elementary stay prepared and communicate efficiently in times of need.
“When every second counts in an emergency situation, administrators need to have full confidence in their systems,” Sales and Marketing Director Matt Ranft said. “The integration of critical systems will allow for efficient communication and will be easy to use.”
The project is currently in progress and is set to be complete in 2020.
